Together with the Apple TV 4K, Apple also announced the 2nd generation of HomePod mini. The Apple HomePod mini 2 will not come in 5 colors and support with Siri AI.

The speaker keeps the original design but upgrades the inside. It adds an S10 chip, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6 and new color options: pink, green, blue, white, and midnight.

Headline additions include Siri AI support, a new visual effect called Sound Glow, and four-speaker surround sound with Apple TV 4K. It can also act as a default speaker for compatible Macs. When paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, it can tap into a user’s personal context, and Apple says personal data is handled through on-device processing or Private Cloud Compute. One caveat though, Siri AI will come in a future software update, so it may not be available at launch.

The Apple HomePod mini 2 will retail at $149, a $50 increase from the $99 launch price of the previous generation. Customers in the U.S. and more than 23 other countries and regions can pre-order now, with in-store availability beginning Friday, October 30.
