Apple’s streaming box has waited a long time for an upgrade, and it’s here. Apple unveiled the 4th generation Apple TV 4K today, four years after the last model, with Siri AI front and center.
The headline feature is hands-free control. Three far-field microphones let you talk to Siri without a remote. The new Siri takes over the whole screen when you search, and it’s powered by the next generation of Apple Intelligence.
Under the hood, an A19 chip delivers up to 50% faster CPU and up to twice the graphics performance of the A15 model. The updated Siri Remote also adds Find My Precision Finding with an audible locator. You can also build a four-speaker surround setup with HomePod mini 2 or HomePod speakers.
