Official Teaser of Clayface, in theaters 21st October 2026

DC and Warner Bros. just made another film about a DC Villain. The trailer description says, ““Clayface” unravels one man’s horrifying descent from rising Hollywood star to revenge-filled monster in a story that explores the loss of one’s identity and humanity, corrosive love, and the dark underbelly of scientific ambition.”

This is probably 6th DC villain to get their own movie or show. We have the Suicide Squad, Harley Quinn, Joker, the Penguin and if go back way further, we also have Catwoman. Considering how successful, the Penguin, Harley Quinn, Joker and in some way Suicide Squad, its not surprising that DC will try their luck with another villain.

The film stars Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen/Clayface, also in the film are Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan, as well as Nancy Carroll and Joshua James.

James Watkins directs from a screenplay by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, story by Flanagan, based on characters from DC. The film is produced by Matt Reeves, Lynn Harris, James Gunn and Peter Safran, with Michael E. Uslan, Rafi Crohn, Paul Ritchie, Chantal Nong Vo and Lars P. Winther executive producing.

Clayface will be in theaters internationally beginning 21 October 2026 and in North America on October 23rd.

Loved the first film; the second and third are great, but the comedy is a little too much for me. It looks like the comedy in Little Fockers will be somewhere between the original film and the sequels.

Final 5-Mins of Golden State Warriors versus Los Angeles Clipper Play-in Game

Golden State caught fire collectively, shooting 15‑of‑20 from the field (75%) and 8‑of‑11 from three (72.7%) in the final frame, with Draymond Green sealing the win by coming up with two clutch steals down the stretch. After defeating the Clippers 126–121, the Warriors now head to Phoenix to face the Suns for the 8th seed and the final spot in the Western Conference playoffs.

That was a wild game and a defensive clinic by the Warriors.

Warriors will face the Suns this Friday, for the 8th spot of the NBA Playoff and will play the defending champs OKC Thunder in the 1st round.

First look at Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will be theaters in June 8th, 2027

Marvel just released a number of screen capture of the upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and announced that the latest Spider-Man animated film will be released on 8th of June 2027. It’s been reported that this will be the final film of Miles Morales’ Spider-man.

The images provide a striking glimpse into the aftermath of Across the Spider-Verse, highlighting the tension as Miles Morales navigates the dangerous reality of Earth-42. Of all the images that Marvel released, the stills that stands our is the confrontation between Miles and Spider-Man 2099 (upper right image), Miguel O’Hara, while another captures a poignant moment between a younger Miles and his father, Jefferson Davis (upper left image).

Neither Marvel nor Sony has mentioned if they will release a trailer for the film. Considering it is more than 14 months until its release date, we may not see a trailer anytime soon.

Anime: Daemons of the Shadow Realm, No Spoiler Initial Reaction!

It’s the Spring 2026 anime season on Crunchyroll, and I just watched the first episode of Daemons of the Shadow Realm. All I can say is that the “3-Episode Rule” may not even apply here! The producers went all out on the premiere and hooked me immediately.

Daemons of the Shadow Realm is definitely an anime to keep an eye on, and it’s great that we’re getting a full 23-episode first season. Catch it now on Crunchyroll!

A new era of Hogwarts begins. The HBO Original Series Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone premieres this Christmas on HBO Max.

As mentioned in the trailer’s description, Harry Potter Season 1 is titled Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, named after the first novel. The trailer also revealed that Harry Potter season 1 will premiere on Christmas Day 2026, and it has been reported that Season 1 will consist of eight episodes.

There are a number of new anime series as well as old favorites. I personally will be looking forward to the new ones, specially “Daemons of the Shadow Realm” and “Witch Hat Atelier”. Of course the returning ones is a no brainer; One Piece, Dr. Stone, Re:ZERO and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. Plus the long over due second season of Dorohedoro Season 2, which will also be in Netflix.

Marvel announces Wonderman Season 2

Marvel just announced that Wonderman will have a second season. The announcement was made in the official social media channels of Marvel as well as Disney Plus’. The announcement also make Wonderman as the few Marvel series to be a multi-season series like Loki. Following the announcement across Disney+ and Marvel social channels on March 23, 2026, it is confirmed that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will return as Simon Williams alongside Ben Kingsley’s Trevor Slattery.

Wonderman second season is expected to pick up directly from the series’ season finale, which saw the duo becoming fugitives after escaping a Department of Damage Control (DODC) facility. With Andrew Guest and Destin Daniel Cretton returning as the showrunner, fans anticipate a deeper dive into Simon’s volatile ionic powers and his complicated status as an “illegal” superpowered actor.

Not sure how to react to the trailer, since the dialog clearly is the same as the animated film and the director/actors/actress did not add anything new to the live action version of the franchise.

Netflix announces casts of Live-Action Assassin’s Creed Series

Earlier casting news revealed that Lola Petticrew (Say Nothing, Tuesday), Toby Wallace (Euphoria Season 3, The Society), Zachary Hart (Slow Horses, Black Doves Season 2), Laura Marcus (Bad Education, Death by Lightning), Tanzyn Crawford (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Tiny Beautiful Things), Nabhaan Rizwan (In Camera, KAOS, Juice), and Claes Bang (The Square, Bad Sisters) would star as series regulars set to explore the world of Assassin’s Creed.

Noomi Rapace (Lamb, Prometheus), Ramzy Bedia (Of Money and Blood, Haunted Minds), Sean Harris (Mission: Impossible — Fallout, The Stranger), and Corrado Invernizzi (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Ford v. Ferrari) also joined the series in recurring roles.

Rounding out the ensemble are recurring cast members Sandra Guldberg-Kampp (Foundation, The Rain, Electric Child), Youssef Kerkour (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), Mirren Mack (Hedda, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple), and Louis McCartney (Stranger Things: The First Shadow).

Netflix has not announce any release date for the series and production has begun in Rome, Italy.

Here’s wishing that Netflix’s version of Live-Action Assassin’s Creed will be much better than the movie.

A few thoughts on “Lanterns”:

  • I love that they developed this as a series rather than a movie; it allows for much more breathing room and development of the characters.
  • Instead of being a sprawling intergalactic epic, the series feels grounded, focusing more on “street-level” heroism.
  • Even though it’s titled Lanterns, the trailer suggests the core focus is on John Stewart’s development as a Green Lantern and his eventual role in replacing Hal Jordan.

Lanterns will be an eight-episode series scheduled to premiere on HBO Max in August 2026. It will officially be part of the DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
