Filipino tech enthusiasts will soon gain official access to Meta’s smart eyewear. During Meta Connect, Meta and optics giant EssilorLuxottica confirmed an international rollout expanding their smart glasses to 10 new markets, including the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.
The expansion covers the Ray-Ban Meta lineup—featuring Gen 3 models with 12MP cameras and 3K video recording—alongside the newly announced Ray-Ban Meta Audio and Oakley Meta variants. These devices integrate open-ear audio, noise-reducing microphones, hands-free media capture, and access to Meta AI for voice commands.
Paving the way for the local debut, Vision Express Philippines officially teased the arrival on social media, billing it as a first for the country. The eye care retailer announced that the smart eyewear will soon be available across 15 designated nationwide branches.
Meta has yet to confirm specific local pricing or release dates, Vision Express carrying the lineup ensures buyers will benefit from official warranties, optical fittings, and localized customer support.
