Effective August 1, 2026, we will be updating prices worldwide. The price of XBOX consoles will increase by US$100 for 512 GB models and US$150 for 1 TB models. We will also be sunsetting our 2 TB model.

Here the new official US pricing tier for Xbox;

  • Xbox Series S (512GB): $499.99 (Up $100 from $399.99)
  • Xbox Series S (1TB): $599.99 (Up $150 from $449.99)
  • Xbox Series X (1TB Digital): $749.99 (Up $150 from $599.99)
  • Xbox Series X (1TB with Disc Drive): $799.99 (Up $150 from $649.99)
  • Xbox Series X (2TB): Discontinued

Microsoft attributed the hikes to an ongoing global “components crisis,” specifically highlighting that the market costs for console storage and memory (DRAM and NAND) have spiked by over 2.5x, largely driven by supply strains from the massive growth in AI data center infrastructure.

Microsoft has updated the Xbox App, for both the iOS and Android, to introduce a number of cool features like “console remote play, remote game installs, chat and more.”

The announcement was made by Harrison Hoffman, Senior Program Manager for Xbox;

The Xbox App is currently in beta test and will probably launch the same time the new Xbox Series X and Series S becomes available.

Both the Xbox Series X and Series S are available with the following retail price;
Xbox Series X 1 TB – SAR 2,299.00
Xbox Series S 512 GB – SAR 1,349 (at Extra, it mentioned that the storage is 1 TB).

The pre-order period starts on September 22nd, 2020 until November 6th, 2020 while quantities last. Shipping for the Xbox Series X is expected to be between November 7th , 2020 and November 12th, 2020, while the shipping for the Xbox Series S will be between November 13th , 2020 and November 18th, 2020.

Microsoft just release the pricing and availability of Xbox Series X and Series S. The Xbox Series X will retail for $499 (USD) or around SAR 1,871.64, while the Series S will have a pricetag of $299 (USD) or around SAR 1121.49.
