Crunchyroll announces Spring 2026 Anime Season Lineup

Crunchyroll has announced 21 new anime series that will be available to the anime streaming platform this April 2026.

There are a number of new anime series as well as old favorites. I personally will be looking forward to the new ones, specially “Daemons of the Shadow Realm” and “Witch Hat Atelier”. Of course the returning ones is a no brainer; One Piece, Dr. Stone, Re:ZERO and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. Plus the long over due second season of Dorohedoro Season 2, which will also be in Netflix.

Netflix announces casts of Live-Action Assassin’s Creed Series

Netflix;

Earlier casting news revealed that Lola Petticrew (Say Nothing, Tuesday), Toby Wallace (Euphoria Season 3, The Society), Zachary Hart (Slow Horses, Black Doves Season 2), Laura Marcus (Bad Education, Death by Lightning), Tanzyn Crawford (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Tiny Beautiful Things), Nabhaan Rizwan (In Camera, KAOS, Juice), and Claes Bang (The Square, Bad Sisters) would star as series regulars set to explore the world of Assassin’s Creed.

Noomi Rapace (Lamb, Prometheus), Ramzy Bedia (Of Money and Blood, Haunted Minds), Sean Harris (Mission: Impossible — Fallout, The Stranger), and Corrado Invernizzi (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Ford v. Ferrari) also joined the series in recurring roles.

Rounding out the ensemble are recurring cast members Sandra Guldberg-Kampp (Foundation, The Rain, Electric Child), Youssef Kerkour (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), Mirren Mack (Hedda, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple), and Louis McCartney (Stranger Things: The First Shadow).

Details about their characters remain under oath, but keep checking Tudum for more updates on the project.

Netflix has not announce any release date for the series and production has begun in Rome, Italy.

Here’s wishing that Netflix’s version of Live-Action Assassin’s Creed will be much better than the movie.

Amazon Prime releases Final Trailer of The Boys – Final Season

Sophie Turner suits up for the new Lara Croft Series on Amazon Prime Video

Sophie Turner has been officially announced as the next Lara Croft, this was unveiled in a “Wardrobe Test” post by the Amazon Prime Video X/account (embedded below).

The Tomb Raider series was develop by Phoebe Waller-Bridge for Amazon Prime Video. Megan McDonnell, who wrote a number a of series and film for Marvel was tapped as the writer for the upcoming Tomb Raider series.

Tomb Raider series features Game of Thrones and X-Men star Sophie Turner as Lara Croft with Martin Bobb-Semple, Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, and Bill Paterson. The series is set to be released on Amazon Prime Video.

Netflix to release a “never-before-seen behind-the-scenes” documentary on the Production of Stranger Things 5 this 12th of January 2026

Stranger Things 5 just wrapped up this past New Year’s Eve, and while the spin-off series is already in production, Netflix has something extra for fans. On January 12, 2026, the streaming giant will release a “never-before-seen, behind-the-scenes” documentary titled One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5.

Netflix just drop the trailer for Volume 2 of Stranger Things Season 5

Everything we have ever assumed about the upside down has been dead wrong. Volume 2 of the final season of Stranger Things arrives Dec. 25th at 5pm PT.

Volume 2 is composed of episode 5, 6 and 7, while episode 8 will be the finale.

Just like what the trailer says, Volume 2 will be available on the 25th of December 2025, while the Finale will be on New Year’s eve.

Netflix Buys Warner Bros. $82.7 Billion Deal

Netflix and Warner Bros. announced that the streaming giant will will acquire Warner Bros., including its film and television studios, HBO, and HBO Max. The cash and stock transaction is valued at a total enterprise value of approximately $82.7 billion (equity value of $72.0 billion).

The acquisition aims to unite Warner Bros.’ iconic franchises and storied libraries with Netflix’s leading entertainment service and global reach. This combination will integrate world-class assets like Game of Thrones, the DC Universe, The Sopranos, and classics such as Friends and Harry Potter, with Netflix’s existing portfolio.

The companies stated the deal will offer more choice and greater value for consumers, create more opportunities for the creative community, and strengthen the overall entertainment industry. Netflix plans to maintain Warner Bros.’ current operations, including theatrical releases.

The transaction is expected to close after the previously announced separation of WBD’s Global Networks division, Discovery Global, which is anticipated to be completed in Q3 2026. Netflix expects to achieve at least $2-3 billion in annual cost savings by the third year and for the deal to be accretive to GAAP earnings per share by the second year. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and WBD shareholder approval.

Netflix just release the official trailer of Stranger Things Season 5, it appears there will be an all-out “war” between Vecna vs Eleven vs the Military. Netflix divided the Stranger Things’ Final season in three; Volume 1 (episode 1 to 4), Volume 2 (5 to 7) and the Finale (episode 8).

And to tease its fans, Netflix release the first five minutes of Season 5 (embedded below).

Volume 1 will debut on Netflix this November 26th, while Volume 2 on Christmas day and the Finale will be on New Year’s Eve.

Season 2 of MAPPA’s Dorohedoro now has a release date and new visuals

We finally have a release window for the second season of Dorohedoro. Announced from the official X account of the series, @dorohedoro_PR, the series will have a “Near-Simultaneous Worldwide Release” on the Springof 2026, which could be anytime in March, April or May. Considering the last episode of Season 1 was released on March 29, 2020, we can assume that season 2 will premiere on the last week of March 2026 to the first week of April 2026.

Marvel Zombies is a 4-episode miniseries from Marvel Animations. The series will debut on Disney Plus this Sept 24th.

Marvel Zombies is set in the alternate timeline introduced in the What If…? episode “What If… Zombies?!” (2021), where a virus has turned most of the world’s population, including the Avengers, into zombies. The series takes places five years after the events of the episode and follows a group of survivors as they discover the key to bringing an end to the zombie plague, which leads them to risk their lives traveling across a dystopian landscape and fighting superpowered zombies to save the world.

Live Action Adaptation of Solo Leveling now in production and will star Byeon Woo-seok

Netflix’s live action adaptation is currently in production and will star South Korean Actor Byeon Woo-seok.

Solo Leveling follows the story of Hunter Sung Jin-woo, who after being selected as a Player by the System and is able to grow in strength without limit and became the National Level “strongest” Hunter in the world and as the new Shadow Monarch and the successor fight in the war between the Rulers and the Monarchs.

There has been no report as to when the live-action series will be available, and it’s safe to say that it may not be available until the anime series has been completed or at least is on its later part.

The Ironheart is reported to be a 6-episode series, where the first 3-episode will premier on Disney+ this June 24th.

Netflix teases ‘The Old Guard 2’ Poster and Trailer to Drop Soon

Netflix just teases its fanbase by releasing the official poster and trailer for its upcoming American superhero film “The Old Guard 2.” It is directed by Victoria Mahoney, from a screenplay by Greg Rucka, based on Rucka’s comic book of the same title.

The Old Guard follows the story of a clandestine group of centuries-old mercenaries with the unique ability to heal from any injury. Led by the formidable Andromache of Scythia, or Andy (Charlize Theron), the team navigates a modern world that increasingly threatens their secrecy and their very existence.

The Old Guard 2 will star Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Matthias Schoenaerts, Vân Veronica Ngô and Chiwetel Ejiofor reprising their roles from the first film with the addition of Uma Thurman and Henry Golding joining.

The Old Guard 2 will be on Netflix this July 2nd, while the first film of ‘The Old Guard” is now available on Netflix.

Jo Koy announces Manila Show this July 21st

Comic Jo Koy will have a show in Manila for its Southeast Asia leg of the “Just Being Koy World Tour” and it will be on July 21st at the MOA Arena. Tickets are now available and ticket prices are ₱1,500.00 for the General Admission and ₱7,500.00 for the Floor Seated.

Jokoy have a number of Netflix features and here’s a snippet of his latest Netflix Original Comedy Special – “Live from Brooklyn.”

The Southeast Asia leg of the “Just Being Koy World Tour” also include shows in Singapore this June 16th, then in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the June 18th, June 19th will be in South Jakarta, Indonesia and then in Manila to end the tour.

Daredevil: Born Again | Official Trailer will stream on Disney Plus on March 4th

If you watched the first 3 season on Netflix, this feels like a continuation but on a time gap, since Wilson Fisk hinted that Matt Murdock / Daredevil, stopped being a “vigilante” or being Daredevil.

It also looks like the cast from the Netflix’ Daredevil are all back and reprised their role; Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk / Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher.

The look and feel is a little darker than the one from Netflix but this trailer looks great!

Documentary maker Joshua Pieters followed OnlyFans star Lily Phillips as she embarked on a stunt to sleep with 100 men in just 24 hours.

But it seems the challenge took its toll on Lily, who broke down in tears at the end of the stunt.

It’s been reported that Lily Phillips earned a whopping £2 million, around ₱148.6 M, for stunt. The earnings comes mainly from her 36,000 Only Fan subscribers, who were able to livestreamed/watched the stunt in its entirety.

The math;

24 hours in one day, 60 minutes in one hour. This translate to 1440 minutes in one day, so each man she’s having s*x with have roughly 14 minutes. If you factor in the earnings, she earned £20k each man she slept with.

Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that its streaming service Max will launch in the Philippines and six (6) Southeast Asian countries this November 19. In their announcement, they listed Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, as well as Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Just like Disney+, HBO Max offers titles like HBO, Harry Potter, the DC Universe, Cartoon Network, Max Originals, and the best of Hollywood movies, as well as programming from Discovery, TLC, AFN, Food Network, ID and HGTV.

As of this time, no pricing have been announce but HBO Max will be available in 3 pricing plans;

The launching of HBO Max is a big late, since all top video streaming services like Disney+, Apple TV, Prime Video and Netflix are already available in the country.

Squid Game Season 2 will stream on Netflix this Dec 26th

Netflix just announced that the sequel of their hit series Squid Game will be available on the platform on the 26th of December. The announcement was made on the company’s social media account with the caption “Get back in the game, Squid Game returns DECEMBER 26.” and a 3-and-a-half minutes trailer of the series (embedded below).

In an article posted on Tudum, “Season 2 explores how Gi-hun follows through on his words after leaving the airport,” says Hwang below in a new behind-the-scenes featurette that revisits Season 1. “Gi-hun’s endeavor to find out who these people are and why they do what they do is the core story of Season 2.”

Lee adds: “In Season 1, there was room to show glimpses of Gi-hun’s various personalities, such as his optimistic nature and positive energy. This time, the focus was on his determination.”

Here’s the synopsis of Squid Game Season 2;

Returning casts from Season 1 are Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo, and the new cast members will include Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri, and Won Ji-an.
