Stephen Curry’s 34-Point Surge Lifts Warriors Past Suns in Testy 116–113 Clash

In a matchup with playoff-like intensity, Stephen Curry scored 34 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to a thrilling 116–113 comeback victory over the Phoenix Suns on Monday night at Chase Center.

Overcoming a 17-point deficit, Golden State captured its fifth consecutive win. Phoenix controlled much of the first half and held a 57–51 lead at the break, but the game turned early in the third quarter when Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected after receiving back-to-back technical fouls on a single possession. Rather than deflating Golden State, Green’s ejection ignited the home crowd and sparked a furious second-half rally.

Curry lead the Warriors, pouring in 18 third-quarter points to erase the deficit and tie the game at 93 entering the final frame. Down the stretch, Curry took complete control—dicing up the Suns’ defense and protecting the lead from the charity stripe, where he had hit 51 straight free throws before a rare late miss.

The Warriors also got crucial support from Brandin Podziemski (20 points), Charles Bassey (19 points, 8 rebounds off the bench), and Georges Niang (13 points), who buried a key late three-pointer.

Devin Booker led Phoenix with 26 points and 5 assists, while Miles Bridges added 21 points and 6 rebounds. However, the Suns unraveled late as Booker fouled out in the final minute, sealing Golden State’s hard-fought victory.
