Lendeborg’s Career Night Powers Warriors Over Clippers Without Curry and Green (124 – 112)

Playing without their star duo of Stephen Curry (knee injury management) and Draymond Green (back injury management) resting on the front end of a back-to-back, the Golden State Warriors still found a way to light up the Chase Center. Behind a career night from standout rookie Yaxel Lendeborg, Golden State powered past the Los Angeles Clippers, 124–112.

The Clippers opened with purpose, taking advantage of a revamped Golden State starting lineup to build a 37–29 lead after the first quarter. However, the Warriors responded with a blistering 34–20 second quarter, swinging the game’s momentum and seizing control before halftime.

Stepping into the spotlight in the absence of Curry and Green, Lendeborg delivered a masterpiece. The 24-year-old forward poured in a career-high 37 points on 13-of-19 shooting, knocking down six three-pointers and dishing out six assists to lead all scorers. Guard De’Anthony Melton provided vital firepower, splashing six triples of his own en route to 21 points, while Brandin Podziemski steered the offense smoothly with 17 points and eight assists.

The Clippers tried to keep pace behind Rui Hachimura’s team-high 24 points and Kobe Sanders’ 16 off the bench, but couldn’t withstand Golden State’s 3-point barrage. The Warriors shot a scorching 44.9% from beyond the arc as a team, connecting on 22 three-pointers to stretch their lead to as much as 22 points in the second half.

With their 4th straight victory, Golden State continued its recovery from an 0–3 start to the season, demonstrating deep roster potential and proving they can secure crucial victories even when their veteran leadership watches from the sidelines.

he Clippers will head back home to host the Raptors on Monday, while the Warriors will stay in the Bay for another home game against the Suns on Monday night as part of a back-to-back.
