Team Liquid Philippines has been crowned champions of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup (MSC) at the Esports World Cup (EWC) 25 in Riyadh, beating Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants OG Esports with a decisive 4-1 victory in the Finals. The win marks a significant moment for Team Liquid, etching their name into Esports World Cup history.
Selangor Red Giants was the reigning EWC ML:BB champions and was the favorite to win it all for having a strong run through the knockout bracket, they were ultimately outmatched by Team Liquid’s “terrifying power.” Team Liquid showcased consistent dominance throughout the tournament, rarely dropping more than one map per series.
After losing the first game, Team Liquid quickly shifted their strategy, focusing on strong early-game picks and objective control. Their tactical approach paid off, as they swiftly took control of the series. Games three and four saw Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya’s Gloo become a pivotal force, giving Team Liquid the early advantage they needed to secure decisive wins. The penultimate game, lasting just over ten minutes, highlighted Team Liquid’s overwhelming superiority.
