WhatsApp just announce that Dark Mode feature is available in the latest version of the app. The new theme is available to both iOS and Android users.

Here’s the full text of WhatsApp’s announcement;

We are very excited to update WhatsApp with the most requested feature from our users everywhere – dark mode.

Dark mode for WhatsApp offers a fresh look on a familiar experience. It’s designed to reduce eye strain in low light environments. And we hope it helps prevent those awkward moments where your phone lights up the room.

When designing dark mode we spent time researching and experimenting with a focus on two particular areas:

Readability: When choosing colors, we wanted to minimize eye fatigue and use colors that are closer to the system defaults on iPhone and Android respectively.

Information Hierarchy: We wanted to help users easily focus their attention on each screen. We did this by using color and other design elements to make sure the most important information stands out.

Users on Android 10 and iOS 13 can use dark mode by enabling it in system settings. Users on Android 9 and below can go into WhatsApp Settings > Chats > Theme > select ‘Dark’.

We hope everyone enjoys dark mode, which is rolling out in the coming days on the latest version of WhatsApp.

If everything goes according to what Mayweather Jr. said in the video, both boxer have at least 100 days to train and get in condition, which is unrealistic since we still need to consider the time for them to agree on a contract, promotions and decide where they will fight. Unless of course every have been done already and they just need to announce the fight.

Rich Brian Taxi offers free taxi as way to give back to the commuting public

Here’s something you don’t see everyday, a taxi operator that offers free ride as way to “give back” to commuters.

In a facebook post, Jeune San Juan wrote what she said “faith in humanity restored” after getting a free ride from one of Rich Brian taxi.

San Juan wrote;

Just a while ago in SMX we were deniiiied by the employee shuttle because it was already full (it started raining). We tried to get the first taxi when I saw this sign on the lower left side of the dashboard. FREE RIDE daw so we got inside. Akala namin scheme lang but it was really a free ride! Hindi siya fake taxi bwahaha. According to Kuya Eduardo, the driver, the owner of Rich Bian Taxi used to be a taxi driver himself and every end of the month all 10 cabs in the fleet go around giving free rides until 7pm. It’s his way of giving back daw now that he’s well off. They’ve been at it for a year already and the plan is to have 100 units. Here’s to faith in humanity restored and wishing the Rich Bian team good luck! Super happy din nila sa boss nila kasi every 15th, free boundary daw. And they’re always present sa mga family occasions ng owner. The best part? Nauna pa kami sa shuttle makarating ng office. Thank you Rich Bian!
