Youtube announces Playables

Youtube has announced the release of Playables — a collection of free games you can play directly on the platform, which you can find in the Explore menu of the main YouTube Home page, either on desktop (web) or the iOS and Android app. Youtube’s Playables have been available in select users for testing before becoming available to YouTube Premium subscribers last year.

There are more than 75 games now available to play directly on YouTube Playables – lightweight, entertaining games like Angry Birds Showdown, Words of Wonders, Cut the Rope, Tomb of the Mask, and Trivia Crack.

Youtube is not the only company to add games in their service, Netflix in 2021 introduced Netflix games in their platform.

In a press release by National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), YouTube, iWant & Iflix will limit the video streaming quality in order to ease data congestion due to work-from-home setup by employers and the increase in demands during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).
