Team Collier Dominates Team Clark, Collier Crowned MVP of 2025 WNBA All-Star Game (151-131 )

Napheesa Collier, the team captain of Team Collier, bagged the MVP award for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game as her team routed Team Clark. Collier scored an All-Star Game-record 36 points and 9 rebounds. Meanwhile, her All-Star teammate Skylar Diggins recorded the first triple-double in an All-Star Game, with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 15 assists.

Sky’s Angel Reese records first triple-double in a win against the Connecticut Sun (78 – 66)

Angel Reese just recorded her first triple-double, powering Chicago Sky in a win against the Connecticut Sun (78 – 66). Angel Reese had 11 points, 11 assists and 13 rebounds for her first triple-double, she is the second youngest WNBA player to record a triple-double, second only to Caitlin Clark, who did it twice in her rookie year at 22 years old.

Helping Reese is her former LSU teammate, Hailey Van Lith who had a career night with 16 points and 5 rebounds from the bench. Kamilla Cardoso added 10 points and 7 rebounds, while Kia Nurse and Ariel Atkins chipped-in 11 points and 10 points, respectively.

It was a close game with Sky leading just 7 points entering the 4th quarter but that’s where separated themselves scoring a 19 points in the period but limiting Sun to just 12 points. Marina Mabrey lead the Sun with 22 points, making 5 three-pointers, with 5 rebounds. Veteran Tina Charles added 19 points and 6 rebounds, and Jacy Sheldon had 12 points. No other Sky player scored more than 6 points.

This is a much needed win for the Sky if they want to be one the playoff team. Chicago will be hosting Washington while Connecticut will travel to Indiana this Tuesday.

Lakers win over Kings behind James’ triple-double (131-127)

The LA Lakers remains undefeated with their win over the Sacramento Kings (131-127) under the newly minted Coach JJ Redick. Lebron James who had a triple-double, lead the team with 32 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. Then followed by Anthony Davis with his 31 points and 9 rebounds.

The Lakers lead as many as many as 15 points, when the Kings cut the deficit to just 4 points by the end of the second qtr. The Kings even manage to build a 7-point lead in the 3rd quarter but it was James 16 point explosion in the 4th qtr that gave the Lakers the win.

Domantas Sabonis, who also had a triple-double, lead the Kings with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Deaaron Fox and Demar Derozan, scored 28 points and 23 points, respectively. Six players on both the Lakers and Kings, scored scored in double figures.

This will be Lebron James’ 114th triple-double in the regular season and 143rd for his whole career.

Lakers will visit the Suns on Monday, Oct 10th, to start their 5-game road trip, while the Kings will host the Trail Blazers, also this Monday night.

Indiana Fever’s 5th straight win over LA Sparks behind Caitlin Clark’s Triple-double

Caitlin Clark became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 100 3-pointers in a season and finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for her second career triple-double as the playoff-bound Indiana Fever beat the Los Angeles Sparks 93-86 on Wednesday night.

Clark connected on her second 3 of the game and 100th of the season midway through the third quarter and added two more to reach 102 and finish 4 of 10 from long range. The No. 1 overall draft pick is the first rookie with 100 3s.

Their 6 reaming game will be available against top teams and those who are vying for playoff spot. It’ll be interesting how they will matchup against Lynx and Aces, who are the two of the top teams in the league.
