The movie teaser of Minecraft is bonkers

Welcome to the world of Minecraft, where creativity doesn’t just help you craft, it’s essential to one’s survival! Four misfits—Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Myers) and Dawn (Brooks)—find themselves struggling with ordinary problems when they are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld: a bizarre, cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination. To get back home, they’ll have to master this world (and protect it from evil things like Piglins and Zombies, too) while embarking on a magical quest with an unexpected, expert crafter, Steve (Black). Together, their adventure will challenge all five to be bold and to reconnect with the qualities that make each of them uniquely creative…the very skills they need to thrive back in the real world.

The trailer looks good and that’s a good start, specially if you watch all the reaction videos on Youtube. They have the star power and I just hope the story for the film is well written.

A Minecraft Movie will be in theaters this April 2nd 2025.

Netflix’s Teaser Reveals First Look for Squid Game Season 2

Netflix released a teaser trailer (below) for all the upcoming films and series for 2024. The very last sequence shown in the trailer was that of Squid Game’s main protagonist Seong Gihun. Top Korean actor Lee Jungjae currently plays the role.

Fans of the show will know that this is just a continuation of the first season’s ending. Seong Gihun has just won the game and is onboarding a plane to leave the country. He then changes his mind halfway through boarding, and the scene cuts.

This new teaser however, reveals a possible plot direction for the second season. Some of the cast will return. One of the most anticipated appearances for Squid Game Season 2 will be of Investigator Hwang Jun-ho. The audience were left with an ambiguous ending when the investigator’s brother shoots him and Hwang Jun-ho falls to his death (or not).

The investigator, played by actor Wi Ha-Joon, will most likely continue his pursuit of the people behind the Squid Games. In an interview with Screenrant, Director Hwang Dong-Hyuk intends to explore the relationship between the Investigator and his brother, the Frontman.

However, Squid Game Season 2 will soon stream on Netflix, and we just have to wait and see for the actual series to unravel the plot.

Here’s the 71 seconds teaser trailer of The Boy and The Heron;

Before “The Boy and The Heron,” Hayao Miyazaki’s last film with Studio Ghibli is “The Wind Rises,” where he is both the director and screen writer. The film grossed US$113 million on a US$30 million budget, it is the highest-grossing film in Japan in 2013.

Watch the first teaser trailer of Captain Marvel’s sequel – the Marvels

Marvel Studios just dropped the first teaser trailer of the Marvels, Captain Marvel’s highly anticipated sequel.

In the trailer (embedded below), we can see all three members of the Marvels; Carol Danvers/Capt. Marvel, Monica Rambeau/Photon and Kamala Kahn/Ms. Marvel. The 2 mins video also shows us that the body swapping is not just between between Capt. Marvel and Ms. Marvel but it also involves Monica Rambeau, we may see an explanation why this is happening in the film.

This is the premise of the film;

In The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as “The Marvels.”

It’s unclear if the film will happen before or after the events of Marvel’s Secret Invasion series.

The Marvels, we’ll see a lot of familiar faces; Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson returning as Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) and Nick Fury, respectively. Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, we first saw her in the WandaVision Disney+ series. Then we have the Kamala Kahn’s whole family from Ms. Marvel series as well. Also in the film are Zawe Ashton as Dar-Benn, a Kree warrior and the new holder of Accuser’s hammer; and Park Seo-joon, who is reported to be playing as Carol Danvers’ alien husband, Prince Yan.

The Marvels is scheduled to be in theaters this 10th Nov. 2023.
