Department of Education (DepEd) has announced that they will gradually shift the school year calendar start next school year 2024-2025, this is when the school starts in June then ends by April or May. Philippines School was moved to October, instead of June, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, remote learning was also implemented. It was then moved to August in the succeeding year.
Below are the key dates to remember
- School Year 2024 – 2025: opening on July 29th and then will end by May 16th.
- School Year 2025 – 2026: opening on June and then will end by April or May.
DepEd added that the national activities will be conducted on the following dates:
- Palarong Pambansa – July 6 – 17, 2024
- National Festival of Talents – July 9 – 13, 2024
- National Schools Press Conference – July 9 – 13, 2024
- Learners’ Convergence – July 9 – 15, 2024
