Google Philippines has announced that eligible college and university students across the country can access a full year of Google AI Plus for free. The initiative aims to support Filipino tertiary students by providing advanced, AI-driven learning tools to enhance their academic productivity.

Subscribers gain complimentary access to Google’s Gemini Omni model, interactive 3D visualizations, Gemini Live for conversational study, and Study Notebooks—a tool designed to turn class materials into step-by-step lesson plans and practice tests. The plan also includes 400 GB of cloud storage shared across Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos.

To claim the promotion, students must sign in to the student hub or Gemini app using a personal Google account and verify their active enrollment at an eligible Philippine institution. A valid payment method is required for activation, but no charges apply during the 12-month period. Eligible students can redeem the offer until December 31, 2026. Melai Cantiveros Bends into Netflix Philippines’ Avatar: The Last Airbender Promotion

The live action adaption of Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender is scheduled to be available tomorrow Feb 22, 2024 on Netflix, to help promote the series in the region, Netflix Philippines taps the services of Melai Cantiveros for their Appa Air video promo.

In a 3 mins video (embedded below), Melai who plays as the flight attendant of Appa Air provided a brief explainer of the coming series mixed with her comedic chops. It even featured the Philippines and a couple of its tourist spots like the Coron, Palawan for WATER, Chocolate Hills for EARTH, Mayon Volcano to represent Fire and the Bangui Wind Mills for AIR.

Adult Swim, the American adult-oriented nighttime programming block of Cartoon Network, just release 3 very short promo video of Rick and Morty, that features Christopher Lloyd as Rick Sanchez and Jaeden Martell portraying Morty.

Based on the caption, “Rick and Morty” are travelling to the different universe in each of video. First back home in C-132, which if you are watching the show, refers to the show’s main universe.

Then the second video C-1.21, this refers to the show’s multiverse and a call back to Lloyd’s Back to the Future character as Doc brown and the show’s season three episode “Pickle Rick”.

The third and hopefully not the last video, is a promo for the Rick and Morty dot com, and at the same time, the availability of the show’s final season.

It’s unclear if we’ll more of Christopher Lloyd and Jaeden Martell, playing the portal travelling duo, I guess only time will tell.
