Miss Universe 2023 is Nicaragua’s Sheynnis Palacios

This year’s Miss Universe is none other than Ms. Sheynnis Palacios from Nicaragua. Ms. Palacios is the first contestant from Nicaragua to win the Miss Universe pageant. Before joining the pageant circle, the 23-year-old, worked as a TV host and model, she beat first runner-up Anntonia Porsild from Thailand and second runner-up Moraya Wilson from Australia.

What did Ms. Sheynnis Palacios won?

…the winner will take home several prizes, in addition to cash and the coveted Mouawad crown, an iconic jewel that is valued at $5 million, and is made of diamonds and gold.

The winner will be gifted, almost immediately, a year of commitments, purposes and many objectives that support her participation in the contest, for which she will have an annual salary of around $250,000.

In addition, they will have access to first class products such as makeup, skin care, exclusive clothing, jewellery and all the necessary products to look like a true beauty queen with trips around the world.

Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi sports Darna in the national costume

Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi dons a Darna costume for the national costume round during the preliminary competition on Thursday, January 12, 2023.

In the preliminary competition of Miss Universe 2022, Miss Philippines Celeste Cortesi wore a different kinds of costume, instead of of the usual Filipino traditional dress, she walked onstage donning the Darna’s iconic costume in their signature red and gold bikini and boots. She also wore a matching golden backpiece in the shape of the Philippine sun.

The Darna costume was designed by Oliver Tolentino, the same designer of her preliminary evening gown. Celeste Cortesi’s Darna costume is a collaborative effort of MUPH, Ravelo Family, ABS-CBN and JRB Creative Production.

Miss Universe 2022 coronation will be held in New Orleans on January 14 (morning of January 15, Philippine time).

Miss Rabiya Mateo crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2020

Representing Iloilo City, Miss Rabiya Mateo crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant, which was held at the Baguio Country Club. The pageant’s coronation night was aired on free TV over GMA-Network and online, Sunday, October 25.

Rabiya Mateo will the Philippines representative in the coming Miss Universe pageant.
