After officially announcing the production of the new Isuzu D-Max EV, Japan-based Isuzu officially unveil the specs of their latest EV pickup the new Isuzu D-Max EV. The first D-MAX EV, which was exhibited to the public as a prototype at the 45th Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand in March 2024, is now in production.

Production of the D-MAX EV is scheduled to begin at the end of this year, with sales expected to start in 2026 in the UK and will be rolled out to other countries and areas based on market needs.

In a nutshell, the new Isuzu D-Max EV is an all-electric pickup truck featuring a 4×4 drivetrain. Its dual electric motors deliver a peak output of 140 kW, providing a claimed driving range of 263 km based on WLTP standards on a single charge. Notably, it retains a substantial 3.5-tonne towing capacity, demonstrating that this European-first production electric pickup offers significant commercial capability without sacrificing performance. The pricing details for this EV pickup are yet to be announced.
