Kentaro Miura’s Berserk (1997) anime series will soon be available on Netflix. The twenty-five episodes anime series was produced by Nippon Television and VAP, animated by Oriental Light and Magic (OLM), and directed by Naohito Takahashi.
The series follows Guts a mercenary warrior, as he joins mercenary group called the Band of the Hawk, led by their ambitious and charismatic leader, Griffith and his dream to rule a kingdom of his own.
Even though Berserk’s 1997 anime series was released on DVD and Blu-Ray, it next to impossible to get your hands, specially after Kentaro Miura death. In 2012, the Golden Age arc was adapted into an anime film trilogy; The Egg of the King and The Battle for Doldrey, were released in Japan in February and June 2012, and the third film, The Advent, was released in February 2013. Then in 2016, a second 24-episode anime series adaptation.
No word yet if the trilogy films and the 2016 series will also be available in Netflix but I guess will know soon enough.
