Supreme Court has Officially Launched eNotarization

Supreme Court has officially rolled out the eNotarization, a digital notarization that allows accredited notaries that allows individuals, businesses, and government institutions across the Philippines to have legal documents notarized electronically without personally going to a notary public’s office.

The eNotarization departs from traditional notarization, which is restricted to a notary publicโ€™s territorial jurisdiction and follows A.M. No. 24-10-14-SC, the Rules on Electronic Notarization, promulgated by the court on February 4, 2025.

At launch, there are three (3) accredited electronic notary public facility providers includes NotarizeIT by Unawa, Twala by Ohelio and QLegal by Quanby Solutions. For companies or parties who are interested in becoming an ENF Provider, you can apply for accredication.

Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa noted that the initiative was partly prompted by the difficulties people faced in accessing government services during the COVID-19 pandemic. He added that the Court has begun discussions with the Department of Foreign Affairs to extend the service to overseas Filipino workers. Furthermore, the service will provide significant relief to Filipinos in far-flung areas who require notarial services.
