In a thrilling WNBA showdown, the Indiana Fever narrowly defeated the Seattle Storm 110-107, powered by a truly historic performance from Caitlin Clark. Despite operating under strict minutes restrictions, Clark made every second of her 29 minutes count. Phoenix Mercury’s Alyssa Thomas Suspended One Game Following Flagrant 2 Foul

The WNBA announced today that Phoenix Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas has been assessed a Flagrant Foul 2 penalty and a one-game suspension following a league review.

The disciplinary action stems from an incident with 6:52 remaining in the second quarter of the Mercury’s 111-109 victory over the Indiana Fever last night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Upon review, the league determined that Thomas committed a non-basketball act by recklessly making contact with her fist to the throat of Fever guard Caitlin Clark.

Under WNBA rules, the league office retains the right to retroactively upgrade fouls and issue fines or suspensions postgame. Thomas is scheduled to serve her suspension on June 27, missing the Mercury’s upcoming road game against the Toronto Tempo.

While the half-court battle remained even, Dallas found their edge in transition. The Wings dominated the fast-break points category, outscoring the Fever 25–12. Indiana Fever exercised Caitlin Clark’s 4th Year Option

The Indiana Fever officially exercised the fourth-year option on Caitlin Clark’s rookie contract, securing her through the 2027 season. While routine for top picks, this move is a strategic necessity for the franchise to lock in their star player and continue to capitalize on her historic impact.

Under the WNBA’s current Collective Bargaining Agreement, exercising this option triggers the EPIC (Exceptional Performance on Initial Contract) provision. Because Clark earned All-WNBA honors as a rookie, this allows her to renegotiate her fourth-year salary to a much higher figure and potentially sign a multi-year supermax extension. Her compensation is projected to jump from roughly $78,000 in 2025 to over $500,000 in 2026, with the 2027 option year serving as the foundation for a future max-level contract, this is similar to the deal that Aliyah Boston, Clark’s teammate, signed two weeks ago.

By finalizing this team option, the Fever ensure roster stability and eliminate any risk of Clark becoming an unrestricted free agency after 2026. This allows the franchise to focus on their upcoming season, which starts this May 9th, and build long-term around their core talent. This basically confirms that Clark will remain as the face of Indiana franchise for the foreseeable future while receiving a significant pay raise.

Indiana Fever has resigned All Star Kelsey Mitchell, with the two sides agreeing to contract terms ahead of the 2026 WNBA season. This will be Mitchell’s ninth season with the Indiana Fever, the team who drafted her No. 2 overall by the Fever in the 2018 WNBA Draft. The signing will keep Fever’s Big 3, the includes Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston for the 2026 WNBA Season.

Mitchell returns to the Fever following what was her most successful season, a year which saw the guard win the 2025 Commissioner’s Cup, earn her first All-WNBA First Team honors and named a finalist for 2025 WNBA Most Valuable Player. In 2025, Mitchell set a new franchise record for points per game in a single season (20.2), surpassing a two-decades long record set in 2003 by Tamika Catchings. Additionally, Mitchell was named a WNBA All-Star for the third-consecutive year and was a two-time WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

In the postseason, Mitchell led the Fever to the WNBA Semifinals for the first time in a decade, appearing in all eight of Indiana’s playoff games while scoring 178 points, the third most in a single postseason in franchise history, behind only Catchings (2012, 2015).

Indiana Fever phenom Caitlin Clark is taking her “logo threes” energy to the broadcast booth. NBC announced that Clark will join the Basketball Night in America team as a special contributor for two (2) NBA games; February 1st and March 29th, at the Madison Square Garden, New York City.

Just like what the title says, WNBA Superstar Caitlin Clark will once again play at this year’s LPGA’s The Annika pro-am. The tournament’s official X/twitter account made the announcement and also published an official statement regarding Clark’s return to the The Annika pro-am.

Clark is scheduled to participate in the Wednesday Pro-Am at The ANNIKA on November 12. Wednesday’s Pro-Am is open to the public, and tickets are on sale exclusively at www.TheAnnika.com.

“I had an amazing time at The ANNIKA last November and participating in the Pro-Am alongside Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, two of the best in the game,” said Clark. “I’m honored to be an ambassador for a company in Gainbridge® that is so committed to elevating women’s sports. WNBA Superstar Caitlin Clark just announced that she will be missing the remainder of the season, Clark made her announcement on her social media account, embedded below.

For her second season, Caitlin Clark only played for 13 games and missing most of the season due to left quad and left groin injuries and the latest was an ankle injuries with a bone bruise during a workout in August that she had to rehab concurrently with her groin injury. Her last game was in July 15, 2025, a win against the Connecticut Sun.

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark will miss the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season, the team announced today. Clark, a two-time All-Star and the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, has been sidelined since suffering a right groin injury during the Fever’s 87-77 win over the Connecticut Sun on July 15. Clark also suffered a bone bruise at a later date during her recovery process.

“Caitlin has worked so hard throughout this time, doing everything possible to recover and return to the court but, ultimately, time is not on our side,” said Indiana Fever COO and GM Amber Cox. “While we will continue working with Caitlin and provide her with every resource we have available, there is not enough time left in our season for her to safely return, and her long-term health and well-being remains our top priority. We are looking forward to having her back at full strength to start the 2026 season.”

Clark appeared in 13 games during the regular season, averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game, while helping lead the team to the 2025 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup title.

Indiana Fever Wins 5th Straight Game Over Seattle Storm (78 – 74)

The Indiana Fever continued their impressive run, securing their fifth consecutive victory with a gritty 78-74 win over the Seattle Storm at Climate Pledge Arena on Sunday night. Despite being without star Caitlin Clark for the seventh straight game, the Fever showcased their depth and resilience, improving their record to 17-12 on the season and are currently 5th in the standing and just 1.5 game behind NY Liberty.

The Fever were led by a stellar performance from Natasha Howard, who scored 21 points with 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Sophie Cunningham added a season-high 17 points, including a scorching 4-for-5 from beyond the arc. Aliyah Boston continued her dominant form, notching another double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, proving crucial down the stretch scoring nine-straight points in the fourth quarter.

It was close game but the Fever was able to build an 8-point lead (42-34) at halftime, fueled by strong offensive contributions from Howard and Cunningham, and the rest of the team, Indiana was able to extend the lead to 13-points mid-3rd quarter. Seattle, however, refused to back down, made a significant push at the end of third quarter and all of the 4th quarter. Storm even cut the lead to just 1 point via Dominique Malonga’s inside play with 12.2 seconds left in the game (75 – 74). Then Kelsey Mitchell made a late layup with 8.21 seconds remaining to give Indiana a 3-point cushion. Aliyah Boston added a key free throw in the closing seconds to ice the game.

The Storm, led by Nneka Ogwumike’s 16 points, followed by Skylar Diggins’ 13 points, Gabby Williams (12 points, 9 rebounds), and Dominique Malonga (12 points).

The Indiana Fever will look to continue their winning streak as they face the Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday. While the Seattle Storm will host the league-leading Minnesota Lynx on Wednesday.

The Indiana Fever are on a roll as they win their 4th straight games at the expense of Dallas Wings.

It was a close game in the first half but building a 13-point lead, the Fever never trailed again even though Dallas was able to cut the lead to just 6 points (75 – 69).

Four of the five Indiana starters scored in double-digit points. Kelsey Mitchell had 23 points, Aliyah Boston had 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Natasha Howard added 11 points and a career-high-tying 16 rebounds. Both Boston and Howard also had five assists for Indiana. Aari McDonald continues to be a big factor while Caitlin Clark is sidelined; she had 12 points and 6 assists.

Paige Bueckers continues to be the leader for the Wings, she was the one who kept the game close but her 22 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists was not enough to get them the win. Another bad shooting game for Arike Ogunbowale, scoring 8 points but only had 1 field goal.

Indiana Fever defeats Phoenix Mercury to extend streak to 3 wins (107 – 101)

The Indiana Fever got their first win against DeWanna Bonner and the Phoenix Mercury (107 – 101). It was Bonner’s first game against the Fever and as expected the crowd boos her as soon as she gets a hold of the ball. Fever is still without Caitlin Clark who is out due to a groin injury since the 2025 All-Star games.

It was a total team effort by the Fever, with five players scoring in double digits. Aari McDonald scored a career-high 27 points, including 3 three-pointers. Aliyah Boston had 22 points and 12 rebounds, marking her 12th double-double for the season and was unstoppable, scoring 17 of this 22 points in the 4th quarter.

Sophie Cunningham and Damiris Dantas each scored 12 points, and Chloe Bibby added 10 points off the bench. Kelsey Mitchell, who played exceptionally well in their last game against the Sky, was limited to just 8 points due to foul trouble, while Natasha Howard, despite scoring just 6 points, was big on the defensive end with 2 blocks, 1 steal, and 6 rebounds.

For Phoenix, Alyssa Thomas lead Phoenix with 32 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists. Kahleah Copper added 22 points and Sami Whitcomb scored 18, including the buzzer-beater 3-points to end the first half. DeWanna Bonner who signed with the Fever at the start of the season but left to go Phoenix after 9 games.

Caitlin Clark will not participate in this year’s WNBA All-Star events due to injury

Indiana Fever fans will miss Caitlin Clark this WNBA All-Star weekend since she will not be participating in the event. Clark made the announcement via the team’s communication and social media channels.

Caitlin Clark’s teammate, Lexie Hull was named as her replacement in the 3-point contest, as for the All-Star game, from WNBA, “Washington Mystics guard Brittney Sykes and Atlanta Dream forward Brionna Jones have been named by WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert to replace the injured Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Phoenix Mercury forward Satou Sabally on Team Clark in the 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game.”

Caitlin Clark to miss game against Paige Bueckers and Dallas Wings

Caitlin Clark is out again and will miss her much anticipated matchup with Paige Bueckers and Dallas Wings due to a left groin injury. It’s unclear when Clark suffered the injury but Indiana Fever Head Coach Stephanie White said “she found out about Clark’s latest injury late Wednesday night, after the training staff had taken her for an MRI.”

This will be the second straight game that she missed after returning from a left quadriceps strain injury, where he missed 5 games.
