Indiana Fever Guard Caitlin will miss at least of two weeks due to a left quadriceps strain injury. The team added that “further updates will be provided, as available, following re-evaluation.”
Caitlin Clark has suffered a left quadriceps strain and will be out a minimum of two weeks.
It’s unclear when the injury occurred, since Clark played 38 minutes in their last game against the New York Liberty. This injury may be related to the left quad tightness that Clark experienced in the preseason, she even missed an exhibition game.
Left Quadriceps Strain indicates damage to one of the four muscles at the front of her left thigh. Quadriceps strains can range in severity from mild (Grade 1) to severe (Grade 3, a complete tear). The “minimum of two weeks” suggests it’s likely a Grade 1 or 2 strain, as a full tear would typically require a much longer recovery.
Being out for at least two weeks, means that Clark will miss a minimum of four games. These games include matchups against the Washington Mystics (twice), Connecticut Sun, and a highly anticipated road game against the Chicago Sky.
May 29 – Washington Mystics
May 31 – Connecticut Sun
June 4 – Washington Mystics
June 8 – Chicago Sky
Caitlin Clark will most likely be back against the Atlanta Dream on June 11th.
The Indiana Fever suffered another heartbreaking home loss, falling to the New York Liberty after clawing back from a 15-point deficit. Despite a dominant third quarter where the Fever outscored the Liberty 30-13, they couldn’t maintain the momentum, managing only 12 points in the fourth quarter while the Liberty scored 22. Sabrina Ionescu sealed the win for New York with two crucial free throws at the end of the game. The win will keep the Liberty unbeaten 4 games into the season, while the Fever will have a 2 – 2 standing.
Jonquel Jones led the Liberty with a double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds. Sabrina Ionescu contributed 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists, while Breanna Stewart and Natasha Cloud each added 16 points.
For the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark had another challenging shooting night, going 6-of-19 from the field, including 2-of-12 from three-point range. Despite her struggles, she spearheaded the third-quarter surge with a four-point play and a buzzer-beating shot to end the quarter. Clark finished with 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 10 assists. Aliyah Boston delivered another stellar performance, tallying 27 points and 13 rebounds. Kelsey Mitchell and Lexie Hull each chipped in 15 points. Natasha Howard, the hero of their previous game, was limited to 6 points and 8 rebounds.
The Atlanta Dream narrowly defeated the Indiana Fever last night in a tightly contested and physical matchup at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, emerging with a 91-90 victory. Atlanta capitalize on their size and physicality for most of the game, until the Fever made a furious fourth-quarter rally but it was not enough to get the win at home.
Atlanta established an early lead, showcasing their stifling and physical defense that disrupted the Fever’s offense. They outshot Indiana in the paint during the first quarter, ending it with a 31-23 advantage. The Dream’s strong defensive presence continued throughout much of the game, making it difficult for the Fever to find consistent offensive flow.
Despite the defensive pressure, the Fever, lead by Caitlin Clark, began to claw their way back. Clark, who had a standout night with 27 points and 11 assists, hit crucial shots to keep Indiana in contention. Aliyah Boston followed-up her first game performance with 24 points and 10 rebounds, marking her second consecutive double-double. Kelsey Mitchell added 24 points to complete a potent scoring trio for the Fever.
Brittney Griner led Atlanta with 21 points and 8 rebounds in her first win with the team, while Rhyne Howard added 20 points, including key free throws in the final seconds. Brionna Jones contributed a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds, and Allisha Gray chipped in 16 points.
The fourth quarter was a nail-biter, with the Fever battling back from an 11-point deficit early in the period. Clark and Lexie Hull combined for nine points on three-pointers to close the gap, and Indiana took its second lead of the game with just 21 seconds remaining. However, a crucial foul sent Rhyne Howard to the free-throw line, where she sank both shots to retake the lead for Atlanta. Despite a last-ditch effort by the Fever at the buzzer, the Dream held on for the one-point victory.
The game was a physical affair, with both teams battling hard on every possession. While the Fever showed resilience in their comeback attempt, their 10 missed free throws and 14 turnovers ultimately proved costly.
The two teams will face off again on Thursday, with the Fever traveling to Atlanta for another anticipated matchup.
The Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky played their first game of the 2025 WNBA season on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the sold-out Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Indiana Fever won the game convincingly with a final score of 93-58. Caitlin Clark led the Fever with a triple-double, recording 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. She also had a career-high four blocks. This was Clark’s third triple-double of her WNBA career, tying her with Candace Parker for the third-most in league history.
Together with Clark, Aliyah Boston of the Fever also had a strong performance with a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 13 rebounds with 5 blocks. Making her debut for the Fever, Natasha Howard and Kelsey Mitchell each scored 15 points. DeWanna Bonner, another offseason addition for the Fever, also had a historic night, scoring 7 points and moving her into third place on the WNBA’s all-time scoring list, surpassing Tina Thompson. She now has 7,489 career points.

In the second quarter, the Fever tightened their defense, allowing the Sky to score just 15 points while managing to build a 13-point lead by the end of the first half (45-32). In the second half, the Fever’s offensive firepower was on full display, scoring 48 points while restricting the Chicago Sky to just 26 points in the same period.
For the Chicago Sky, Angel Reese had a double-double with 12 points and 17 rebounds, Ariel Atkins added 11 points.
There was a heated moment in the third quarter when Caitlin Clark committed a hard foul on Angel Reese. The foul was reviewed and upgraded to a flagrant 1. Technical fouls were also assessed to Reese and Boston after Reese confronted Clark.
Caitlin Clark isnāt messing around this season. A triple double, a route over the Sky and then a smart foul that set off her nemesis. This drama is good for the WNBA. This shouldnāt have been deemed a flagrant foul.
This is just a testament on the popularity of Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. The reaction of the four Indiana Fever (Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, DeWanna Bonner, and Kelsey Mitchell) when they saw their pictures on the cover of SI is just priceless.

After waiving guard Jaelyn Brown last May 14th, the Indiana Fever now have their final roster for WNBA Season 2024. The team has made several key additions through free agency and the draft to bolster their lineup around rising star Caitlin Clark and 2024 Rookie of the Year, Aliyah Boston.
The Fever will only have 11 players on the roster due to salary cap issue and it’ll be interesting how far can the trio Clark, Boston and Mitchell carry the team, after reaching the playoffs last season.
LSU Tigers star and rap artist, Flau’Jae Johnson just dropped a new song and in the song she mentioned the current Rookie of the Year and Indiana Fever Guard – Caitlin Clark.
About halfway through her track “Help Me,” rapper Flau’jae Johnson (who goes by the single name Flau’jae in her music) delivers the line, “Double C on my jacket like I’m Caitlin Clark,” a clear shout-out to Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark.
You can listed to the new song as posted on Johnson’s Tiktok account.
The Indiana Fever move to 2-0 in preseason play with a 108-44 win over the Brazil National Team!
Kelsey Mitchell dropped 17 PTS, 3 STL and Caitlin Clark notched 16 PTS, 6 REB, 5 AST.
I mean, there’s no way the Brazil National Team will win this game, it was a matter of how many points Indiana Fever will score and how many 3-points and assists will Caitlin Clark will make. This is just the preseason but the atmosphere in the Carver-Hawkeye Arena was electric.
Indiana Fever will play one more preseason game against the Atlanta Dream this Saturday evening at the Gateway Center. WNBA regular season will start this May 16th and the Fever’s first game will be against the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on the 17th of May.
Indiana just announced (tweet above) that Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is questionable in their first season game against the Washington Mystics. The team said that this is due to a left leg injury.
It’s unclear if Clark will totally miss the game or will play on a limited capacity but one thing is for sure, a lot of Fever, particularly, CC fans are not happy to hear the news.
Here are few of the comments from CC/Indiana fans.
This may be the most incredible Caitlin Clark video Iāve ever seen. A lost scrimmage video vs the menās practice team at Iowa in which Caitlin goes berserker mode and scores 22 points in 2 minutes. She is the one. pic.twitter.com/7yS77C8hoR
After watching the latest episode of “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman” on Netflix, I immediately went online to look for the video (above) that Caitlin Clark and David Letterman talk about, where apparently CC dropped 22 POINTS IN TWO MINUTES against the men’s practice squad at Iowa, I repeat.. that’s 22 points in 2 mins against Iowa’s menās practice team.
Here’s part of their conversation.
Caitlin Clark dropped *22 POINTS IN TWO MINUTES* against the men's practice squad at Iowa š³
Another part of the show, is where Letterman asks CC – why are you the way you are?, then Clark answered without a second thought, “cause Iām insane.”
david letterman: āwhy are you the way you are?ā
For Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever, 41 of their 44 games will be on national TV, while thirty-three Las Vegas Aces games and Thirty-two New York Liberty games will be nationally televised or streamed.
WNBA published an article regarding the WNBA schedule.
It looks like Caitlin Clark has settled on making the WNBA her priority, since the Indiana Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark has declined an invitation to participate in the NBA All-Star weekend’s highly anticipated 3-point shootout. Clark’s decision, as confirmed by her representatives at Excel Sports, underscores her commitment to the WNBA and her desire to make her 3-point contest debut at the WNBA All-Star game in Indianapolis this summer.
It looks like Indiana will have it’s core player for this year as Kelsey Mitchell resigns with the Fever. This will be Mitchell’s 8th season with the franchise, who drafted her as the second overall pick in the 2018 WNBA draft.
It’s Caitlin Clark’s 23rd Birthday, while we know there will be celebration later, she in the lab cooking and she was cooking!
In a video (below) posted by @IndianaFever on their official X account, Caitlin Clark can be seen working on her three-points shot and like what the caption says, she made 50 three-point shot out of the 54 shot.
Caitlin Clark shot 50-for-54 from three on her birthday.
