The Cleveland Cavaliers advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2018, dismantling the top-seeded Detroit Pistons 125-94 in a winner-take-all Game 7 at Little Caesars Arena.
Cleveland dominated the glass with a 50-41 rebounding advantage, fueled by big men Jarrett Allen (23 points) and Evan Mobley (21 points, 12 rebounds). Donovan Mitchell spearheaded the Cavs’ offense with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists, while Sam Merrill provided a major spark off the bench, hitting five triples for 23 points. Detroit’s Cade Cunningham was held to just 13 points as the Cavaliers secured a matchup against the New York Knicks for the right to advance to the 2026 NBA Finals.
