Suns’ big 3 were running on all cylinders, with Ken Durant, a former-Warriors, scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists; Devin Booker, score a team high 32 points and 6 assists, and Bradley Beal added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

Now that we have the 4 team standing for the Semifinals of the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament, the league unveil the trophies as well as the awards that will be given to the winners for the tournament, this in addition to the cash prize that the team and players will receive from the league.

There are cash prizes for reaching the knockout round in the tournament, and the prizes will keep growing as a team advances. Each player gets $500,000 for winning the title, $200,000 for making the final, $100,000 for reaching the semifinals and $50,000 for making the quarterfinals. There is one caveat: two-way players on those rosters only get half as much as those on standard contracts.

The NBA In-Season Tournament Championship Trophy will be called – ‘The NBA Cup’. This will be given to the team for winning it all for the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament.

Each player on the In-Season Tournament championship team will receive the In-Season Tournament Medals. No special name for the medals as well.

- The back of the medal features a silhouette of the NBA Cup in the middle of two tournament brackets.
- The four extruding balls on the face of the medal represent the four teams competing in the In-Season Tournament Semifinals.
NBA In-Season Tournament All-Tournament Team Trophies
This will be awarded to each player on the In-Season Tournament All-Tournament Team. This is the equivalent of the “All-NBA Team” awards that are given at the end of season.

The All-Tournament Team members will receive trophies, designed by Victor Solomon, composed of a solid black crystal basketball with gold channels, one of which features a bracket motif in a nod to the In-Season Tournament. Each trophy stands 7.5” in height and weighs 20 pounds.
Golden State Warriors – Orlando Magics
The Golden State Warriors lost to the Orlando Magics, their 3rd loss straight lost since Steph’s injury against the Boston Celtics. Warriors made it to a close game but Franz Wagner’s late three free throws with 12.2 seconds left and dunked on an inbounds play sealed the game for the Golden State.
With the Warriors’ loss (47-25), Phoenix Suns (58-14) clinched first place in the Pacific Division.
Atlanta Hawks – New York Knicks
In their first game at the Madison Square Garden since last season’s playoff, Atlanta Hawks defeated the NY Knicks. Trae Young had 45 points and 8 assists, he got a lot of help from Bogdan Bogdanovic who scored a season-high 32 points, 3 assists and 3 steals. Bogdan’s biggest contribution to the game when he hit a go-ahead 3, then another by De’Andre Hunter which is part of Hawks’ 11-0 run with 1:04 left in the game.

Hawks will visit Detroit while the Knicks will go to Charlotte on Wednesday.
Milwaukee Bucks – Chicago Bulls
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 25 points and 17 rebounds in his return after missing games because of a sore right knee. Bucks missed the services of All-Star forward Khris Middleton, who was dealing with a sore left wrist. Bucks also saw the return of Brook Lopez, who had 10 points and 6 rebounds in 24 minutes for Milwaukee. Lopez came off the bench in the last three games after missing 67 because of a back injury that needed surgery.

LA Clippers – Denver Nuggets
Denver Nuggets took care of their business at home by a 127-115 win over the LA Clippers. Nikola Jokic bounced back from a poor shooting night by scoring 30 points, 14 reb and 6 assists. Jokic had a lot of help from Hyland, Aaron Gordon and Jeff Green, chipping in 16 points and a combined 12 rebounds and 11 assists.

Clippers will be hosting the Philadelphia 76ers this Friday and Nuggets will need another monster game from Jokic, to fend off the Phoenix Suns this Thursday.

Giannis Antetokounmpo captured his first MVP, Luka Doncic was named top rookie and Lou Williams won his third Sixth Man award. Who else took home the hardware?
Cavs and the Warriors will meet in NBA Finals for the fourth consecutive year. Just like last year, Cavs will be the underdog and who could blame them. I expect this to be a quick series.
If not for their great start, the result of the game could have gone the other way.
Most of the heavy lifting were done by Jayson Castro who filed the stat sheet with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 1 steal in just 29 minutes, and Andray Blatche who finished with 13 points, where 6 of those points are from the three-point line, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 3 shot blocks.
Gilas next assignment will be the visiting Chinese Taipei on Monday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum at 7:00 in the evening.
