After announcing the launch of ‘Angcars,’ motorcycle-sharing service Angkas is now testing the service. In an article on Yugatech, Angkas is currently beta testing the new service in Metro Manila particularly in Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, and Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. If you are currently in the area, you can see the ANGCARS option within the app.
The app also listed that the base fare/flagdown rate for Angcars will be ₱45.00 then the per kilometer charge is ₱15.00; and ₱2.00 for per minute charge, the company also disclosed that the rates will vary depending on traffic conditions.
Currently only 4 seater cars are available and SUVs (6 seaters above) will soon be available for commuters. For those, who wants to be an Angcar driver, you can go here for the details on how to apply.
Angkas is already a big hit among commuters, and Angcarswill be banking on loyal Angkas users to kickstart the service and challenge ride-hailing pioneers Grab in the metropolitan area.
