A preliminary coin toss awarded top fan vote-getter Paige Bueckers to Cooper’s “Team Coop,” while runner-up Caitlin Clark joined Weatherspoon’s “Team Spoon”. Weatherspoon used the official first overall pick on four-time MVP A’ja Wilson, pairing her with Clark, Aliyah Boston, and Olivia Miles. Cooper countered by selecting powerhouse forward Breanna Stewart, alongside Kelsey Mitchell and Angel Reese.
