Eala took total command early at Holcim Stadium 3, unleashing precise baseline play and aggressive returns. She claimed the opening set 6–1 in convincing fashion. Carrying momentum into the second frame, Eala quickly broke serve to rush out to a 3–0 lead. Following a rain delay, Ruse was forced to retire due to a foot injury, handing Eala the win.
