Miami Heat Guard Tyler Herro wins Starry 3-point Contest

Miami Heat Guard Tyler Herro took the trophy for the 2025 NBA All-Star 3-point Contest, denying Damian Lillard for a chance to 3-peat and Buddy Hield from making history.

In the Starry 3-point Contest at State Farm All-Star Saturday Night, two of the 27 shots are worth three points apiece. And the Miami Heat’s Tyler Herro drained both of the long-distance 3-point shots in the final round on his way to a score of 24 points. That was enough to edge the Golden State Warriors’ Buddy Hield to win the trophy.

G-Leaguer Mac McClung takes home the 2025 Slam Dunk trophy and becomes the first player to 3-peat the Contest

Mac McClung, a G League player for the Orlando Magic, just became the first player to win the NBA Slam Dunk Contest three times in a row. Prior to this year’s win, McClung was one of only five players to win the Slam Dunk Contest in consecutive years. However, Nate Robinson won the contest three times, first in 2006 and then in 2009 and 2010.
