Miami Heat Guard Tyler Herro took the trophy for the 2025 NBA All-Star 3-point Contest, denying Damian Lillard for a chance to 3-peat and Buddy Hield from making history.
NBA;
In the Starry 3-point Contest at State Farm All-Star Saturday Night, two of the 27 shots are worth three points apiece. And the Miami Heat’s Tyler Herro drained both of the long-distance 3-point shots in the final round on his way to a score of 24 points. That was enough to edge the Golden State Warriors’ Buddy Hield to win the trophy.

Golden State will also trade Dennis Schröder to Utah, sending P.J. Tucker to Miami via the Jazz after a previous one-season stint, according to Charania. Lindy Waters III and Josh Richardson join Detroit via the Warriors and Heat, respectively, to finalize the deal.

In a video with Dude Perfect, GSW Superstar reveal his “all-time Top 5 NBA players”, which is considered a line-up that so great that no matter what era you put them, they will still come out on top.
Last year, his All-Time Top 5 NBA players are;
- G – Magic Johnson
- SG -Kobe Bryant
- SF – Michael Jordan
- PF – Tim Duncan
- C – Shaquille O’Neal
This year, his All-Time Top 5 NBA players are;
- G – Steph Curry
- SG – Jordan
- SF – LeBron James
- PF – Tim Duncan
- C – Shaq
Let’s dissect this for a moment;
At Point Guard, this replace Magic Johnson to himself, which understandable, since both Curry and Johnson are the two players contending for the Greatest Guard of All time.
Then on both the Shooting Guard and Small Forward, its interesting that removed Kobe and replace it with Michael Jordan, since Shooting Guard is the natural position of MJ and having Kobe and MJ on the same will more likely hurt the team more than anything else.
On Small Forward position, Curry listed Lebron James which is actually a no brainer, Lebron is considered second to MJ’s G.O.A.T. status, or if you’re a Lebron fan, you will surely consider Lebron number 1 in the G.O.A.T. conversation.
All in all, Curry’s new “All-Time Top 5 NBA players” are a collection of the “greatest” to have ever played the game, which is not a bad lineup no matter the era they play in.
