Nakumpiska sa kanila ang P32,000 halaga ng hinihinalang shabu.

MANILA, Philippines (3rd UPDATE) – Supreme Court Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio refuted the Duterte government on Tuesday evening, June 25, and said it cannot allow Chinese fishermen to fish in the West Philippine Sea.

Carpio issued this statement after Malacañang, interpreting President Rodrigo Duterte, said the Philippines “will allow” China to fish in the West Philippine Sea “because we’re friends.”

A new set photo from Marvel Studios’ Black Widow may reveal the film’s official logo.

The image, which comes via @ripmarvel on Twitter, seems to show the logo on the back of a chair in Budapest, where the movie is currently filming. It’s entirely possible this logo might change at some point in the future. The official logo will likely be confirmed at Marvel Studios’ Hall H panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego 2019, where a bevy of announcements are expected and rumored.

If everything goes according to what Mayweather Jr. said in the video, both boxer have at least 100 days to train and get in condition, which is unrealistic since we still need to consider the time for them to agree on a contract, promotions and decide where they will fight. Unless of course every have been done already and they just need to announce the fight.

Rich Brian Taxi offers free taxi as way to give back to the commuting public

Here’s something you don’t see everyday, a taxi operator that offers free ride as way to “give back” to commuters.

In a facebook post, Jeune San Juan wrote what she said “faith in humanity restored” after getting a free ride from one of Rich Brian taxi.

San Juan wrote;

Just a while ago in SMX we were deniiiied by the employee shuttle because it was already full (it started raining). We tried to get the first taxi when I saw this sign on the lower left side of the dashboard. FREE RIDE daw so we got inside. Akala namin scheme lang but it was really a free ride! Hindi siya fake taxi bwahaha. According to Kuya Eduardo, the driver, the owner of Rich Bian Taxi used to be a taxi driver himself and every end of the month all 10 cabs in the fleet go around giving free rides until 7pm. It’s his way of giving back daw now that he’s well off. They’ve been at it for a year already and the plan is to have 100 units. Here’s to faith in humanity restored and wishing the Rich Bian team good luck! Super happy din nila sa boss nila kasi every 15th, free boundary daw. And they’re always present sa mga family occasions ng owner. The best part? Nauna pa kami sa shuttle makarating ng office. Thank you Rich Bian!

Proclamation No. 572 voiding Trillanes’ amnesty

The proclamation states that the amnesty granted to Senator Antonio Trillanes IV during the administration of Benigno Aquino III was “void ab initio” or invalid from the beginning as the senator supposedly failed to comply with two requirements for the granting of amnesty: (1) application for amnesty and (2) admission of guilt.

The document also orders the military and police to apprehend Trillanes and bring him to a detention facility.

Philippines routs Kazakhstan, in the Men’s Basketball of 2018 Asian Games (96-59)

Even without Jordan Clarkson, Philippines Men’s Basketball Team defeated Kazakhstan, in their first outing in the 2018 Asian Games, Thursday, August 16 at the GBK Basketball Hall in Jakarta, Indonesia.

It was Stanley Pringle who did most of the damage, with his 18 points , 4 rebounds and 2 assists, of course with the help veteran James Yap with his 12 points, 5 boards, a steal and a block; and SMB rookie Christian Standhardinger, 15 points, 4 boards and a steal.

Jordan Clarkson cleared by NBA to play for the Philippines in the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia

NBA backtracked its decision to not allow Cleveland Guard Jordan Clarkson to play for the Philippines in the 2018 Asian Games.

On their official statement, NBA said “Due to a lack of clear communication of that agreement between the NBA and the Chinese and Philippines Basketball Federations, and after further discussions with both Federations, the NBA has agreed to provide this one-time exception,”

The same “one-time exception” was also be given to Chinese NBA players Zhou Qi of the Houston Rockets and Ding Yanyuhang of the Dallas Mavericks.

Jordan Clarkson is currently traveling to Indonesia but won’t be able to join the Philippine team in their first game, since he is expected to arrive in Jakarta at 10 a.m. of Thursday, which is the same day the Philippines kicks off its game against Kazakhstan.

Philippines will not send a basketball team to the 18th Asian Games

Here’s the official statement from the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP);

SBP did not state any reason other than “to allow our National team and our organization to regroup, prepare for the process of appealing the FIBA Disciplinary Panel..”

In this ESPN 5 article, PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said that the Rain or Shine (RoS) management remains willing to send its team to the Asian Games.

If PBA players are not available, why not just send selection of college players which is what the Philippines have been doing before they started sending pros in 1990.

Kris Aquino receives invite to the premiere of ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ in Hollywood

Queen of all media, Kris Aquino recenly revealed in an IG post that she received an invite from her United States-based agent Chris Lee for the premiere of ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ on Aug. 7. The premiere will be held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California.

Kris Aquino plays an undisclosed role in the film.

Crazy Rich Asians
Based on Kevin Kwan’s 2013 novel of the same title, the film follows the story of American-born Chinese economics professor Rachel Chu, who accompanies her boyfriend to Singapore for his best friend’s wedding only to find his family is one of Asia’s rich and famous.

Directed by Jon M. Chu and starring Gemma Chan, Ken Jeong, and Awkwafina. Jon M. Chu is directing from a screenplay by Peter Chiarelli and Adele Lim.

Crazy Rich Asians will be in theaters Aug. 17.

This is the invite that Raymund Marasigan receives for ‘El Bimbo’ musical gala

In the same IG post, Raymund clarifies that he is not part or knows anyone in production of the musical, permission was already settled by the publisher and they don’t need Raymund any member of the Eraserhead’s permission. Raymund cannot come to the musical gala, since he has (two) prior commitments to attend to.

“Ang El Bimbo” is one of Eraserhead’s greatest hit and where the musical is based. I’ve embedded the music video of the song below.
