TIME Athlete of the Year Caitlin Clark shared her excitement for the future of the WNBA—and women’s sports as a whole—during a conversation with NBC sports producer and broadcaster Maria Taylor at the “A Year in TIME” event in New York on Dec. 11.
Coinciding with the release of TIME’s Person of the Year issue, the event also included a performance from TIME’s Icon of the Year, Elton John and a conversation with TIME’s CEO of the Year, Lisa Su.
A 7-foot-2-inch (2.18 m), 260-pound (120 kg) center, Mutombo moved to the United States from the Democratic Republic of the Congo at age 21 to play college basketball for the Georgetown Hoyas. In 1991, the Denver Nuggets chose Mutombo with the fourth overall pick of the NBA draft. During his NBA career, he played for six teams. Mutombo played in the NBA Finals for the Philadelphia 76ers in 2001 and for the New Jersey Nets in 2003. He received the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award four times, tied with Ben Wallace and Rudy Gobert for the most awards. Mutombo led the NBA in blocked shots three times, led the league in rebounds twice, and was named to eight All-Star teams. On January 10, 2007, Mutombo reached second place on the list of NBA career leaders in blocked shots.
At the conclusion of the 2009 NBA playoffs, Mutombo announced his retirement. His number 55 jersey has been retired by both the Denver Nuggets and the Atlanta Hawks. Mutombo was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on September 11, 2015.
In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy. Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.
Venom: The Last Dance stars Tom Hardy, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach and Stephen Graham. The film is directed by Kelly Marcel from a screenplay she wrote, based on a story by Hardy and Marcel. The film is produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Kelly Marcel, Tom Hardy and Hutch Parker.
Venom: The Last Dance will exclusively be in theatres October 25th.

Gatorade just released its “It hasn’t changed” ad, which features WNBA stars Caitlin Clark and A’ja Wilson, two-time Summer Olympic gold medalist Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum, and Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen. The company’s first product endorser, Michael Jordan, narrates the ad.

The ad showcases current and rising stars across various sports, including Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever, a two-time WNBA MVP and champion, alongside Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson. 20th Century Studios just release the official trailer of the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. The film will serve as the sequel to the to War for the Planet of the Apes (2017) and is the fourth installment in the Planet of the Apes reboot franchise.

The trailer confirmed a number of rumors surrounding the game, first is that it confirmed the first female protagonist ala Bonnie and Clyde, then the release of the game which will be in 2025 and that the game will be available in both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The GTA VI is the eighth main Grand Theft Auto game, following Grand Theft Auto V, and the sixteenth entry overall. The game have been in development for 10 years.
Three months after the release of the teaser, Marvel just release the official trailer the Marvels. The 139 seconds trailer include a number of new clips including other half of the bangles that Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) is using.
The trailer revealed that Dar-Benn a Kree warrior revolutionary wielding an Accuser’s hammer and trying to restore her homeland after a civil war, which may have been caused by Carol Danvers/ Captain Marvel, in the first movie.
We also Nick Fury in action, which is an indication that Nick Fury will get is job back or at least a new position after the events of Secret Invasion. Goose, Carol’s pet Flerken will also return from the first film.
The Marvels is part of Phase 5 of the MCU, will be in theaters on Nov. 10th.

Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion, an Original series, is streaming June 21 on Disney+.
Secret Invasion original series will be 6-episodes long and will star Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury from the MCU film series, along with Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, with Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman, and Don Cheadle. The series is created by Kyle Bradstreet and directed by Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim.
Secret Invasion original series is part of Phase Five of the MCU and will be on Disney+ this 21st June.
We celebrated International Womens day last March 8, 2023 and Eunice Jorge of the female-fronted band, Gracenote celebrated by covering a song of Just A Girl by No Doubt. In in the video, we can see Jorge perform the music and sing the song all by herself, this includes the guitar, bass, drums and the vocals.
