Emmy-winning host Anthony Bourdain dead at age 61

I was watching the second season of The Layover on Netflix, when news of Anthony Bourdain’s death filled my twitter and facebook feed. The cause of death was suicide, Anthony Bourdain is the second celebrity to have committed suicide in less than a week.

Marvel Studios releases Official Trailer of Ant-Man and The Wasp

This trailer is more of an introduction of Ghost, the villain in the film and Ant-Man’s budding relationship with the Wasp. The movie happened right after Capt. American; Civil War and sometime before Avengers: Infinity War, so no spoilers, but may be a couple of Easter egg for eagle eye movie goers.

Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and The Wasp is In theaters July 6.

The Avengers Infinity Wars was spoiled by Mark Ruffalo more than six months ago

If people only took Mark Ruffalo answer and Don Cheadle’s reaction seriously. We have to remember that this was almost 10 months before the release Avengers Infinity Wars.

First trailer of Venom

I’m not sure if this is excitement or what, but judging from the trailer, Venom lies outside Marvel Cinematic Universe and as if Spiderman does not exist in this “Venom-verse.”

Starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer, Venom will be in theaters in October 5, 2018.

Deadpool 2 Final Trailer

The film is directed by David Leitch with script by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Ryan Reynolds, who plays Wade Wilson / Deadpool with Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, Jack Kesy, and Stefan Kapičić.

Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 18th.

Here’s the second trailer of Solo: A Star Wars Story

For a film that had 3 director changes, this one is looking good!

Starring Alden Ehrenreich as Solo, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover as a young Lando Calrissian, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo, and Paul Bettany.

Directed by Ron Howard, the film will be in theaters 25th of May.

Ogie Alcasid crashes wedding with a love song

It was during the wedding reception of Ryan Lucila and Noreen Ojastro when veteran singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid showed up and serenaded the newlyweds and their guests.

Even though its obvious that Ogie Alcasid’s appearance is staged, of course with the help of Ian Celis Productions, both Ryan Lucila and Noreen Ojastro, and their guests are not informed of Alcasid’s surprise visit.

The video was posted on Ian Celis Productions’ FB page, it’s part of the six-and-a-half minute same-day edit video of the wedding.

Cranberries lead singer Dolores O’Riordan passed away at 46

Sad news today!

Cranberries’ lead singer Dolores O’Riordan died suddenly in London. The news of her passing was posted on the band’s official Facebook page and requesting privacy for her family.

Cranberries and Dolores O’Riordan hits includes 90’s hit songs “Linger”, “Zombie”, “Ode to My Family”, “Free to Decide”, and many more.

Cranberries recently released a new acoustic album titled Something Else last 28 April 2017.

New Black Panther Trailer

It looks like its going to be one of those movies that will be bigger than expected!

Starring Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa / Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan as the main bad guy Erik Killmonger and Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia as an undercover operative of the Dora Milaje, the all-female special forces of Wakanda.

Black Panther is directed by Ryan Coogler and will be in theaters in February 16, 2018.

This is the Spider-man story of Miles Morales.

If you’ve been following Spider-man for as long as I am, you’ve know that this animated film will be interesting not because of the Spider-man title but on the writers and producer will treat a Spider-man that is not Peter Parker.

Disney acquires 21st Century Fox for $52.4 Billion in stock

Disney just acquired 21st Century Fox for $52.4 billion in stocks, the reported actual value the deal is approximately $66.1 billion. Once the transaction is close, shareholders of 21st Century Fox will receive 0.2745 Disney shares for each 21st Century Fox share they hold, this will give the Murdoch family trading control of 21st Century Fox for a 4.25% stake in Disney.

The deal is expected to complete in 12 to 18 months, once closed, Disney will acquire entertainment properties like the Twentieth Century Fox, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Fox 2000, it also include movies like Avatar, X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool, as well as The Grand Budapest Hotel, Hidden Figures, Gone Girl, The Shape of Water and The Martian, and its television creative units, Twentieth Century Fox Television, FX Productions and Fox21, which is the home of popular tv series The Americans, This Is Us, Modern Family, The Simpsons. Disney will also acquire FX Networks, National Geographic Partners, Fox Sports Regional Networks, Fox Networks Group International, Star India and Fox’s interests in Hulu, Sky plc, Tata Sky and Endemol Shine Group.

Not included in the deal are Fox Broadcasting network and stations, Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, FS1, FS2 and Big Ten Network, these will spun off into a new company called “New Fox”. Disney will also inherit an approximately $13.7 billion of net debt of 21st Century Fox.

Once completed, the deal will bring X-men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool back into the fold of Marvel, also owned by Disney, and possibilities of Avengers, X-men, Fantastic Four and even Deadpool doing a movie together is very high.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Official Trailer, features volcanos, a dinosaurs stampede and a rescue mission

After releasing the teaser, we now have the official trailer of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

In the video (above), the film continue right after the 2015 Jurassic World but this time rather than the dinos being the threat its volcanoes and practically the whole island becomes a threat to the giant lizard species.

We can also see Jeff Goldblum reprising his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm, from the 1993 and 1997 Jurassic Park films. In front of a government committee that “these creatures were here before us, and if we’re not careful, they’re gonna be here after us.” Then later in the trailer, we can hear Jeff Goldblum say, “Life cannot be contained, life breaks free life finds a way.” the same line that he utter from the original Jurassic Park movie.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be in cinema on the 22nd of June 2018.

The video didn’t provide much details about the movie but at least we know that Claire Dearing, played by Bryce Howard, won’t be running in heels.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Howard will reprise their role as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, respectively. Jeff Goldblum will also join them as Dr. Ian Malcolm.

Directed by J. A. Bayona, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom opens on June 22, 2018.
