Not sure how to react to the trailer, since the dialog clearly is the same as the animated film and the director/actors/actress did not add anything new to the live action version of the franchise.

A few thoughts on “Lanterns”:
- I love that they developed this as a series rather than a movie; it allows for much more breathing room and development of the characters.
- Instead of being a sprawling intergalactic epic, the series feels grounded, focusing more on “street-level” heroism.
- Even though it’s titled Lanterns, the trailer suggests the core focus is on John Stewart’s development as a Green Lantern and his eventual role in replacing Hal Jordan.
Lanterns will be an eight-episode series scheduled to premiere on HBO Max in August 2026. It will officially be part of the DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.

A long-overdue sequel to the ‘fashion movie’ classic. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci will all reprise their roles from the original film. DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has officially broken the internet by sharing a first-look teaser of Jason Momoa as Lobo. In the viral clip, Momoa exits his trailer sporting the character’s iconic fangs and a cigar, simply drawling, “Finally.”
The footage confirms Momoa will star as the intergalactic bounty hunter in the upcoming Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, hitting theaters June 26, 2026. Gunn revealed that Momoa has lobbied for the “Main Man” since day one, texting him in all caps the moment the new DCU was announced. Fans—myself included—are already calling it a masterstroke of casting, praising the rugged, comic-accurate transformation.

This is a live action film of Masters of The Universe, which is based on Mattel’s original “Masters of the Universe” 5.5-inch action-figure toy line.

Nicholas Galitzine will portray Prince Adam / He-Man, who returns to his home planet Eternia to save it from the evil forces of Skeletor, played by Jared Leto. Starring Jericho Rosales as Manuel L. Quezon, the film is the much-awaited conclusion to TBA Studios’ cinematic “Bayaniverse” trilogy, a series of films based on Philippine history. The “Bayaniverse” includes 2015’s “Heneral Luna,” the Philippines’ highest grossing historical movie of all time; and 2018’s critically acclaimed “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.”
The trailer features key scenes and highlights from the film. Directed by Jerrold Tarog, “Quezon” is a historical drama that focuses on Manuel L. Quezon years after the Philippine Revolution during the American occupation.
“Quezon” will be in premiere in Philippine theaters this October 15th and will be released internationally at a later date.
Ryan Reynolds has been teasing the Avengers logo with an Anarchist symbol painted over it for some time now. Before it appeared during the production of the Deadpool & Wolverine film, and an anarchist Avengers cap also surfaced.
But this time, Reynolds just posted this image on his Instagram account: it’s the Avengers logo that’s been spray-painted with a red, anarchist-style ‘A’ symbol (see below). The timing of this IG post is suspicious, since the Avengers: Doomsday is currently in production and may already be in the half-way mark.
Whatever this means is anyone’s guess. Even though Reynolds was not included in the announced cast, it’s not a far-fetched idea that he will be in the film, perhaps in the later half of the production.
In the end, the Anarchy-Avengers may just be a marketing ploy until Marvel officially announces that Deadpool/Ryan Reynolds is included in an upcoming Avengers film.

Also there have been rumors that Sadie Sink, from Stranger Things, will take on the role of Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. For now this is just a rumor and no confirmation yet from Marvel nor Sony.
