One Piece Crossover With Dragon Ball Z and Toriko to air this 4th of March 2023

Here’s something big to all Anime fans, the mythical crossover special of One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, and Toriko will make its North American television debut on the Adult Swim Toonami block on Cartoon Network, this is according to the official English account of Toei Animation.

On April 7, 2013, the episode debuted on Fuji TV in Japan. The crossover was not available to viewers outside of Japan, even though it is part of One Piece Episode 590, “The Mightiest Cooperation in History vs. the Gluttonous of the Sea,” of the One Piece anime TV series. Toriko x One Piece x Dragon Ball Z Super Crossover Special will air on Toonami on Saturday, March 4, 2023, 10 years after it aired in Japan.

The Toriko x One Piece x Dragon Ball Z Super Crossover Special have been the talked around anime circles. The premise of the Crossover Special is that Luffy, Goku and Toriko met in a special tournament that would grant the winner a special type of meat. Since both Goku and Luffy are known gluttons in their respective series, naturally the two are willing to fight in order to get a taste of the special meat. The specially will also feature fights between Zoro and Vegeta, and also Usopp, Gohan, Piccolo, Gotenks, Franky, and Sanji.

Checkout the first poster for Netflix’s live action adaptation of One Piece

Netflix just release the first series poster for their live action adaptation of One Piece. The poster is the picture of “Straw Hat” Luffy facing the sunset with his closed-fist right hand up in the air. Netflix’s One Piece series will have 10-episodes and will cover most, if not, all of East Blue Saga.

The casts for the Netflix’s Onepiece are;
Iñaki Godoy as Luffy
Mackenyu as Zoro
Emily Rudd as Nami
Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp
Taz Skylar as Sanji

No exact date as to their the One Piece series be available but as the poster suggests it will be release this year.

Berserk’s 1997 Anime Series is coming to Netflix

Kentaro Miura’s Berserk (1997) anime series will soon be available on Netflix. The twenty-five episodes anime series was produced by Nippon Television and VAP, animated by Oriental Light and Magic (OLM), and directed by Naohito Takahashi.

The series follows Guts a mercenary warrior, as he joins mercenary group called the Band of the Hawk, led by their ambitious and charismatic leader, Griffith and his dream to rule a kingdom of his own.

Even though Berserk’s 1997 anime series was released on DVD and Blu-Ray, it next to impossible to get your hands, specially after Kentaro Miura death. In 2012, the Golden Age arc was adapted into an anime film trilogy; The Egg of the King and The Battle for Doldrey, were released in Japan in February and June 2012, and the third film, The Advent, was released in February 2013. Then in 2016, a second 24-episode anime series adaptation.

No word yet if the trilogy films and the 2016 series will also be available in Netflix but I guess will know soon enough.

First trailer of the New Slam Dunk Film Now Available

Toei Animation / Dandelion Animation Studio just drop the first full trailer (embedded below) of The First Slam Dunk, an upcoming Japanese computer-animated sports film directed and written by Takehiko Inoue. The film is based on the Slam Dunk manga series written and illustrated by Inoue. The First Slam Dunk is scheduled to be released theatrically in Japan in December 2022.

The 74-second video initially show two kids playing basketball in the play ground, then quickly shows the five starting members of Shohoku High School – Sakuragi Hanamichi, Akagi Takenori, Miyagi Ryota, Rukawa Kaede, and Hisashi Mitsui – in a huddle and playing basketball, then a slam dunk before the clip ends.

SPY x FAMILY cour 2 will air on October 1 with key visuals

The cour 2 of our favorite spy/assassin family anime – SPY x FAMILY, will air on October 1st, the announcement was made the official website and social accounts of the series. Key visuals was also release and new episodes will premiere starting October 1st.

Spy X family follows the story of Loid Forger codename Twilight, a master spy who has to “build a family” to complete a mission, not realizing that the girl he adopts as his daughter is a telepath, and the woman he agrees to be in a marriage with is a skilled assassin.

The 12 episode cour 1 of Spy X Family was release last April 9, 2022 and available on Crunchyroll.

Season 3 of one Punch Man is now official

It’s official, the 3rd season of One Punch Man is currently in production as announced by the series creator One. The announcement of the 3rd season of the Anime series came after the release of the 215th chapter of the manga on Thursday, August 18.

To hype things up, Oath Kubota released a teaser visual featuring Saitama and Garou, who will be the main villain in season 3 of the series.

No word yet as to when the latest season will be available, you can however stream the first two season on Hulu and Animax Asia.

Netflix reveals key cast members for upcoming One Piece Live-action adaptation

Netflix just announced the casts for the upcoming One Piece Live-action adaptation.

Fans who are familiar with anime, knows that the characters are the first/original member of Straw Hat Pirates, the collective name of given to Luffy’s group of pirates, which is named after his signature hat that was given to him by Red-Haired Shanks.

The casts are as follows;

  • Iñaki Godoy as Luffy
  • Mackenyu as Zoro
  • Emily Rudd as Nami
  • Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp
  • Taz Skylar as Sanji

Netflix even created a “wanted poster” that includes their real name, the character that they’re playing, too bad they did not include the bounty on their heads.

Eiichiro Oda creator of the manga, said that the “series have been making steady progress” and “It’ll take a bit more time to get this show done.” Oda also explained the reasoning behind the casting of the characters.

Netflix’s One Piece Live-action adaptation is reported to be 10 episodes long and will cover most if not all of East Blue Saga. As of this time, no release date have been announced for the series.

Trailer of Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 reveals release date on January 2022

We will soon be able to watch the second part of the Attack on Titan Final season. The anime series will resume on January 9, 2022, as announced with the release of its trailer (embedded above).

It’s unclear how many episode will Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 have but there will be six special episodes to recap the previous seasons of the series and three special anime episodes that will focus ‘fan-favorite characters’ namely Levi, Ani, and Mikasa. These episodes will air on Oct. 25 on the NHK channel in Japan but unclear if they be release internationally.

Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 is the culmination of the last 75 episodes of the anime series and the emotional final chapter of the manga. Attack on Titan Final Season Part 1 is currently available on both Funimation and Crunchyroll, you can also find Attack on Titan on Netflix.
