Marvel Studios drops the official trailer of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3

Marvel just release the official trailer of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, which the studio first release at Brazil Comic Con.

The trailer (below) focuses on the origin story of Rocket and his Otter friend Lylla, we also saw a glimpse of how Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock looks like and Chukwudi Iwuji portrayal of the High Evolutionary, a scientist specializing in evolution and who in the comics is Rocket’s creator. We can also see that Gamora is back as well as a “beefy” Groot, similar to the one we saw in the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.

The tone of the film (or at least this new trailer), is giving a different jive from the previous GOTG films, since there are a number of instances in the trailer where we see the Guardians in tears and injured, of course there’s still the brand of comedy.

It has been reported that will be James Gunn last project with Marvel, since he will be moving to DC Studios as the co-chairpersons and CEOs, a position that he shares with Peter Safran.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 will be in theaters on May 5th, 2023 and will see the return of Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Zoe Saldaña as Gamora, Bradley Cooper as Rocket and Vin Diesel as Groot, Will Poulter as Adam Warlock. Sean Gunn will also reprise his role as Kraglin Obfonteri, a member of the Guardians and Yondu Udonta’s former second-in-command in the Ravagers, and Maria Bakalova voices Cosmo the Spacedog.
