According to RealGM, the number 1 pick for the 2020-2021 NBA Rookies can earn as much as $8 million in their first year and $9 million in the last year of the contract.
For those who are drafted in the second round, they can earn no less than the league minimum salary (over $560,000) if they sign with a team.
Players who are not drafted can try out to any team and sign as an undrafted (unrestricted) free agent, or join the NBA D-League to keep their NBA hopes alive.
