In their latest meeting, President Duterte reiterates that classes will remain suspended in the country unless there is an available vaccine against COVID-19.
Here’s what President Duterte said in the meeting;
I will not allow the opening of classes na magdikit dikit ‘yang mga bata. Bahala nang hindi na makatapos. For this generation walang makatapos na doktor pati engineer.
Wala nang aral, laro na lang unless I am sure that they are really safe. It’s useless to be talking about the opening of classes. Para sa akin, bakuna muna. Yang mga bata. Bahala nang hindi na makatapos. For this generation walang makatapos na doktor pati engineer.
President Duterte’s statement came after DepEd announced earlier that class for school year 2020 – 2021 will open on August 24, 3030. DepEd later clarified that the August opening date did not mean that students needs to be inside the classroom, since distance learning would be implemented.
