A Chinese Military PLA Air Force (PLAAF) military transport plane (IL-76) was spotted yesterday, June 8, by Philippine Plane Spotters Group (PPSG) landing in Davao City.
In a report by Philippine Daily Inquirer, Special Assistant to the President Bong Go said the Chinese government’s request for landing was “for the specific purpose of refueling and was granted and given with specific conditions for compliance by the requesting party,”
Go later added that the same courtesy is granted to Philippine government aircrafts if needed.
